The latest Florida Zombie, Charles Baker. Bath Salts suspected.

On June 21, 2012, Charles Baker, 25, in Palmetto, Florida, allegedly bit a chuck out of Jeffrey Blake’s, 48, left biceps while visiting his ex-girlfriend’s house. Apparently, shortly after Blake let Baker into the house, Baker lost control of himself, screaming, clenching fists, stripping naked, and biting Baker’s arm. Baker was able to restrain Blake while the Manatee County Sheriff’s office was contacted. When Deputies arrived, they had to use their tazers more than four times to subdue him. Baker was transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital where medical reports did find illicit drugs in Baker’s system; however, the synthetic drug, commonly known as “Bath Salts” is suspected. Baker was charged with aggravated battery and taken to the Manatee County Jail.

This is a disturbing trend and makes me wonder if the media attention is fueling the attacks. In a previous post, you mention the power of suggestion and hypnosis; could hearing the effects “bath salts” and other drugs have on some people induce those same reactions in others?
