Bath salts strike again and again…

Police say they had to use rubber bullets and a Taser to take down Robert William White, who had allegedly attacked a neighbor an hour before in a fit of rage caused by synthetic drugs.

A 20-year-old Los Angeles man was high on bath salts when he bludgeoned an elderly neighbor over the head with a shovel and then locked himself in his apartment to hide from police, cops said.

“I hate you and I want to kill you today,” Robert William White seethed at the 77-year-old victim after she scolded him for swinging the tool at some birds on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

When police finally opened the alleged assailant’s apartment door with a key, White shouted curse words, broke glass and ranted that he wanted to kill someone before the cops finally took him down with a Taser and rubber bullets.

As police wheeled him away from the complex on a stretcher, White continued the madman act, shouting “God loves you all” at stunned locals gathered nearby, the newspaper said.

White later told cops he had been drinking soda spiked with bath salts.

The woman, who wasn’t identified, wasn’t seriously injured and was taken to a local hospital.

Bath salts have been blamed for a string of violent attacks recently.

Earlier this month, police in upstate New York used a stun gun to subdue a woman who was beating her 3-year-old son during a meltdown they suspected was brought on by the synthetic drug.

Pamela McCarthy, of Munnsville, suffered a heart attack and died later at a hospital.

The same drug is suspected of sparking a crazed, face-chewing attack in North Miami over Memorial Day weekend.
