Psychology faculty, Gloria Howell and Dr. Tammy Zacchilli recently presented at the Department of Defense Worldwide Education Symposium in Las Vegas. This is the most-attended conference focused on military education with over 2,600 attendees from the military, civilian and contract personnel, and officials from over 250 colleges, universities, as well as educational organizations and industries that support higher education.
The theme for this conference was Educating the Force – Joint Effort, Joint Success where strategies were explored to effectively deliver voluntary education programs that enhance the Service member’s capacity to serve while enabling them to improve their quality of life.
Gloria is a Lead Contract Faculty at the South Hampton Roads Center in Virginia and Dr. Zacchilli is a full time Assistant Professor on the University Campus. The title of their presentation was “What should I be hearing from my service members? They paid the fee and got the B.”
